The New York Rangers defeated the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 at Mullett Arena on Sunday thanks to a goal and two assists from Artemi Panarin.

Igor Shesterkin made 18 stops for New York (5-3-2), which was coming off a 6-3 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

For Arizona (2-5-1), which has dropped four of its last five games, including its home opener. Lawson Crouse and Nick Bjugstad both scored, and Dylan Guenther recorded two assists for his first multipoint game in the NHL.

At 1:31 in the second period, Lafreniere gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead by scoring off a beautiful pass from the birthday boy Panarin. At 6:45, Crouse scored on a power play to knot the score at 1-1 after Guenther and Matias Maccelli engaged in a game of tic-tac-toe passing. At 11:27, Bjugstad scored on the backhand to make it 2-1 after Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren failed to clear the puck in front Shesterkin. At 18:06, Panarin scored a wrist shot that deflected off Ingram’s left shoulder to knot the score at 2-2 after fending off Coyotes defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere.

At 12:56 in the third period, Zibanejad scored on the power play- from a pass from Chris Kreider to give the Rangers a 3-2 advantage once again. Watch the game highlights above.
