Blueshirts dominated Columbus on Monday Night. Each of the last three losses has been followed by victories.
Mika Zibanajad scored the first goal with an assist by Kappo Kakko and Adam Fox. Zibanejad emphasized the team’s goal following a disappointing performance the night before.
“I think everyone knows at this point what we have to do, (and that’s) what we do well, the things that makes us successful,” Zibanajad said.
Goodrow made it 2-0 on a redirected PP goal in the second period. Talked about the importance for the team rebound after a loss the night before.
“Whenever you have a game like [Sunday night], you’re glad you have a game the next night so you can kind of wash that out of your mouth,” said Barclay Goodrow, who led the Rangers with the first power-play goal of his career and an assist. “I thought the effort tonight was obviously much better. It’s good to get the win.”
Vitali Kravstov extended the lead to 3-0 at 11:47 of the second period. It was Kravstov’s first goal since Dec 18.
Halak won his fourth straight game while stopping 24 saves.
Next: Rangers host the Boston Bruins on Thursday night at 7pm.
